With spring on the way (hopefully!), this is the perfect time for a spring clean of your website and online offering.
Clear away the clutter and put steps in place to ensure that you go on as you mean to.
To help you out we have created a list of 3 areas of your website and online marketing that you can/should spring clean to get ahead this year.
Area 1: Contact Info and Facts
Take sometime this spring to go through the contact information that is stored on your website and any other online references to them. For example, on your Google my Business profile page.
Check that your phone number, email address, business address and any links to social media accounts are showing and are correct.
Whilst you are there you can also check any factual information about your business – this can include your opening times, any links/references to delivery information, and your terms and conditions.
A simple enough task to tick off.
Area 2: Imagery
By imagery we are including your logo, any banners on site, any graphics relating to your products/services, any pictures of your products, and even the picture/s of your team.
Go through the imagery on your site and check that it is a good reflection of your business and its offering. If any can be improved, improve them or set tasks to improve them at a date/time of your choosing.
You might come across seasonal graphics that should have been removed a while back, you might even see opportunities for further imagery to help showcase your business in a better light.
Area 3: Function
This is arguably the most important part of your spring clean.
Take some time to go through your website and ensure that it functions, check links, check buttons, check your contact forms, and check your checkout process.
Put yourself in your customer’s shoes, think about whether small tweaks could be made to make the function of your website better or easier to use. Consider whether it would benefit from further features such as a live chat feature. Whatever would help them to convert.
It is also a good idea to speak to your customers where and when possible to get their opinion on what features on site could be improved or added to assist them.
